My 128th Post: Hydians (People of Hyderabad)

Hyderabad nests people of different casts, race and nationality even but there is one thing in common which unites their attributes, their hospitality to the people who are living besides them or are our guests....people might seem rough and tough on the outside but they are soft hearted if you share an experience with them.....once a hydian likes and respects you, you would become the center of their world.....this city is a treasure chest filled with great friends who would do anything for you at any time of the day not because they want something in return, just because you spent time with them and shared a laugh or two....
People are usually seen fighting to be the first one to leave but here if you ask someone politely, that someone would stop each and everyone just to let you pass.....they are good by heart and they know how to love and respect others.....hydians simply help others just for the sake of a smile on that someone’s face.....call for help and people would line up at your service.....here people try not to lose a chance of providing a helping hand....a rickshaw would be seen pushed by some random biker, an old man’s cart being pushed by some random youngster despite his status, some kids in the street would be caught carrying groceries for a random lady or the least, some strangers shouting out to a biker to lift his stand.....hydians are the type who would stop their work to help you out and if required, would ask another hydian for advice just to get you the best results....

There are some who are the opposite of what is written here but they are in minority....if you haven’t had the best experience then your luck led you to the minority....give hydians another try and you would will to be a part of our world....hydians are not the best, but they are worth falling for....

My 86th Post: Elections 2013

After a long journey of, some say torments and destruction and others saying a wonderful half decade of prosperity, the time is back to take a stand and change our leaders for a change....am not criticising the government or willing to disrespect the devotees by saying that the current leader and his government brought nothing more than handful of corruption, pushed peace from the bridges of this country or is the vital reason for the rise in the current figures of the poverty graph...saying all this would be rude and is unacceptable so would keep it out of my post...but what I am going to say is that there is always a need of change or in other words, a desire for change....no matter how good things are, still there is space for making them better....
This year of 2013, elections are taking place in Pakistan....people are taking part enthusiastically, specially the youth of Pakistan is willing to step forward and change the minds from following a good for nothing, emotionally blackmailing leader to someone who might, just might make things better and help our country survive not only for our generation but for the upcoming generations.....this Friday was the last day to campaign for any political party and tomorrow the votes would be cast....at this time tomorrow, we might be able to predict our future for the upcoming years....it might be good enough to drive a sixer off the field or maybe would get shot down by a hunter's arrow or even that hunter might be killed by it's own prey.....anything can happen, we can only pray....but the assurance is that the minds are changing and people are starting to realise the truth and throw down the veils off their eyes.....so what if this year nothing changes for good, though Allah forbids that, but still there is a change rising and if the country isn't changed, this year gives hope that it would certainly change in the upcoming years.....
Everyone has a right to select and vote for who ever they want but it's kind of an appeal to all of them to judge before casting a vote....a vote is a huge responsibility bestowed upon our shoulders and this shouldn't be played with.....a vote shouldn't be casted because one wanted it instead it should be on the basis of sensibility....ofcourse if you are a member of a particular party suppose 'abc', you would support it no matter how wrong it is but should you? that is a question out of prefix here....the thing is, is it good to be selfish just just for your own sake? there is a country which suffers when a vote is casted to the wrong side.....sure, a particular group of people may cash in from that but let me tell them that by doing that, they are making things worst....one year they worked lets say to level 1 to complete their illegal task, the next year they would have to climb up to level 2 to complete that same old task....it is better to develop the country once and to eat the fruits from then on.....but still it is their choice, what can one do if the opportunist wants to suicide even when there is an opening towards happiness....
Since the last elections, I have heard people whining and cursing the government....to be honest, though these are my views only, the government isn't soul responsible....who said to cast votes in a manner that you would regret....out of context, if you give a pistol to a hooligan, what would you expect, him/her protecting you with it or pointing it towards you to take advantage? there are a lot of chances that the pistol would still be in his/her hand and you might be on the floor bleeding and pleading for mercy....miracles don't happen much but wait, they do happen as right now we are having another season of elections with some outstanding candidates amongst whom one is even quoted as the next Jinnah of Pakistan....so it is a miracle and for it to happen, we need to show that we earned it and it is simple just to cast vote and look forward to the new Jinnah or maybe better....
Yes, there are illiterates in this country who are just blown away by emotions and sentiments clenched by the speeches of the political rallies and may vote as an opposing party to the development of this country but to be honest, what are the literates even doing? still there are a lot who are blinded and disregard the fact that this country is alive only by a string which might break real soon if not sewn real soon....and to sew this country, leaders aren't to be chosen by emotions, they are to be chosen by their virtues and their actions in the past which depict their actions in the future....but still what can one say if they really can't see the dream seen by the one who they love and WE love and was martyred for the future of Pakistan in the cold winds of 2007....
May her soul get a place in heaven and may Pakistan prosper and the future of it brightens with the results of this election.....

My 83rd Post: Namaloom Afraad (the unknown)

'Namaloom Afraad'
karun kia teri baat
chup chup kar ata hai
aur mun chupaey chala jata hai
itna kyun sharmata hai
yan kissi say ghabrata hai
ek baar tu aa k
apna mun to dikha day
hit karden gay tujhe
teri video bana k
chal 'Namaloom Afraad'
ab rakh duaon mei humein yaad
likhta hun mein yay post
kiay angrezi mein faryaad

Well this term 'Namaloom Afraad' just is tangeled in my mind after listening to some song, by someone, named Namaloom Afraad....though the song is a bit slang but it is good and these above verses are my own only the topic is from that track....to all those readers who didn't understand even a single word I wrote in the start, I would like to tell them what namaloom afraad means...it means someone unknown....
Well it is easily understood to all the Pakistani's what this is about but for the rest, it is simply upon the current situation in our country....there are random killings and blasts happening these days and when the media questions about their identities, the answer arrives that they were simply some unknown guys who came and went....in other words, the government is expecting the citizens to believe that some unknown went to some area and killed people without any reason and left....even a child can understand that isn't possible...why would someone act like this? instead of showing any motive, the government claims that the people are just randomly becoming a threat to our population....
The odd thing is that the government isn't able to track them down and unveil their motives....government, the main body of a country, not able to do a simple investigation, that ought to be a joke....how is it possible that they aren't properly tracked down? either they have Aladin's lamp or the government has no motive of showing their true identites....well it is a tough choice so I think they might have Aladin's lamp because the government wouldn't ever want bad for its country, right?
Everything seems like a joke at the moment, and it feels as if we are being trolled upon the highest level....there is no sincerity or honesty left in the leading bodies...they are just sitting for their benefits and starting up these senseless rumours instead of using their power for the right....
It is a humble request to the leaders to stop destroying our nation furthur....take right stands and help this collapsing country breath again....if really those are as you say 'Namaloom Afraad', find them and strangle them from their roots....a lot are lost and now, try to save the remaining few.....

My 70th Post: The City Hyderabad, Pakistan

When one is asked to write about his/her city, it mostly starts off with a phrase: "The City of Dreams". Can every city have that title tagged along in its description? I guess, it can. It is the city of dreams because the writer is mesmerized by its beauty and when he/she starts to describe it, the flawless beauty eves upon the screen of the readers.
'My city Hyderabad'. Somehow I have this proud feeling when I call it mine because I believe in the fact that no matter how rough it is around the edges, it still is a gold mine. I can't decide what is special in it, the people, the lights, the excitement or that beautiful sky above our heads. Everything seems to add up to the recipe for making it one of a kind.
With each new morning, the Hydrabadis set out with an aim to make a name of their city. From a honker who sells vegetables door to door, to a Wadera who sets his foot in his Prado and heads off to his lands. Each and every citizen residing in this average sized city works hard to make the city proud. If you think you are doing nothing, then you are mistaken. Each and everyone is playing his/her part. It just depends upon the kind of talent one has. From a craftsman to a footballer, each and everyone is important because when all stand together, they shape up Hyderabad.
The outsiders are well aware of our talents and that is why they rarely question us upon that. The thing I get questioned upon mostly is that Hyderabad has very few places to roam around and enjoy. I don't argue with them, instead I just wake up one morning and take them on a tour. Though it is impossible to mark each and every place, I still try my level best. From Shahi Bazar to Kacha Qila, the expressions are worth capturing. Their face brights up with each new road as if they were watching Indiana Jones. Through out the journey, there are different screen plays which would amuse them and with each new act, the love for the city would increase. As the night falls, I change my route from the hectic life of the city towards the party life. Places like La Moosh, Breeze Point or Subhan-Allah Restaurant are the toppings for the night.
For all the criticizers, I would just place a question that which city is perfect? Yes, I agree that there are sewage, electricity and road problems here in Hyderabad but everybody is trying his/her best to cope up with them and live in a better manner. If some Hyderabadi is complaining, it doesn't means that he/she hates the city instead it clearifies that someone wants answers from the government. I can bet if the local citizens are given the hold of this city, we can make it better over nights. This ain't the proud me speaking, it is the spirit in me, in a Hyderabadi which is waging this bet.
After reading this, if you still don't have what it takes to respect my city then my dear friend, we aren't in need for such a respect but still we would respect your city because we are Hyderabadis but over that, we are Pakistanis.

My 60th Post: What a Match!!

Seriously Pakistan, I was hoping for a better match....I mean come on sure India is a good team but such a defeat wasn't expected at all...I really waited for yesterday's match between India and Pakistan in this T20 World Cup and was expecting some more miracles by Pakistan but I can say that this match was no good as a Pakistani fan....after watching the Australia's match earlier that day, my excitement level was way too high....Shane Watson really did a great job and I was waiting for a century by him but unfortunately, he couldn't make it...any how, regarding the match I had my eyes on; it was so much exciting that I wasn't even able to keep my eyes opened....I dozed off half way between the first innings....
To be honest with my readers, I did predict that Pakistan was going to lose but still had my hopes up high....after my nap of 4 hours, I went downstairs and the question regarding the match came as 'Pakistan lost right?'...

Well it was a single match....the odd thing is that whenever Pakistan and India come to the field together, it feels like a duty to be there for the team and watch the entire match....it gets really on the nerve when these  two face off....like a rivalry just fires off...I mean, I do have friends living in India but when it comes to cricket then there is only one color in mind, Green....the Indian team is no doubt a strong team and I like some of the players from that but still, no cheering while the match....but well I liked the idea when both the teams were merged up and played side by side in the IPL....that was really fantastic....
Well about yesterday's match, I don't have any more comments upon that...just can say, India really got upon Pakistan well and Insha-Allah Pakistan would show a better performance in the mere future and get into the semifinals...there is a chance for Pakistan I guess...
And to Diablos (my football team), you had to cancel our match cause you wanted to see that match? come on...that is really disappointing because now we would have to wait for a week till the next match....

My 57th Post: Pakistan's Turning Victory Against South Africa

I am not a cricket fan and I really don't think I would ever be one but today's match got me into it from the start till the very end...Pakistan started off terrifically and it looked as a definite victory...I really thought that South Africa was only going to give a nominal target of somewhere between 80s and 90s but they took over some pace and started hitting some finely calculated shots....but still in my believe, a target of 134 wasn't such big specially for a team having a high caliber....so for me the match seemed over before 15th over but the tables always have to turn....
Umar Gul after one of his Boundaries
The second innings started and Pakistan stood on the pitch to bat....that was the moment when I lost my interest in cricket again.....such a terrible start....what were they even thinking.....134 runs in 20 overs against South Africa may seem tough to a guy like me but for Pakistan's cricket team, I thought it would be a piece of ice cake but they have to make everything tough....20 overs means 120 balls all together...so if Pakistan made a run upon each and ever ball, they would have been only 14 runs short....for that, only in 14 overs they could have aimed for 7 runs each and rest one run one each delivery...I know the game ain't played like this because there are dot balls and all but still that is a better way than what Pakistan did....
Honestly, I feel it was a lucky win because Umar Gul isn't a batsman, he is a bowler...sure he can bat as well but he mainly is a bowler....leaving the game in his hands and expect him to hit sixes is just insane....today, he was on his top and really hats off to him that Pakistan won because he was the one whose sixes and fours brought Pakistan out of the danger zone....but what about the real batsman who are known for their batting...what did they do? the inning's start was like a parade...players came, swung the bat couple of times and left....they were leaving the ground with a duck....Shahid Afridi, one of the most talented, experienced and loved player did such a blunder and I was hoping that he would get the Pakistanis a cool nerve...you should get on the pitch, become familiarized with the pace and then aim for the boundaries but no, he came and was caught out because he just gave the ball in the hands of the fielder to catch as if he was giving some catching session to him....now what was that? this isn't some friendly match where you can joke around, try to be realistic...a player whom I hate (as a player that is) is Shoaib Malik....I really don't know what is the guy's problem....you are playing a test match and you get 60 runs out of 250 balls, it is acceptable but not a wise attempt in one day matches or 20-20 matches....this guy really loves the pitch and I guess his coach might have taught him that staying on the field is more important than scoring runs....I was really praying for him to get out so that some light may fall upon the team....
Well Umar Gul really did make his nation proud today with the assist from his partner Umar Akmal..it was sad to watch him leave the field and I thought the chance Pakistan had of winning are gone but Umar Akmal hit off a six and took a run on the next ball....in the end, the edge from the last batsman's first ball won the match with a splendid boundary....Umar Akmal was amazed to see Saeed Ajmal finishing off the game with such beauty...
So the moral of the story is that Pakistan won and now its time for India and Australia to face each other and for Pakistan's team, it can sit back and enjoy this exciting match.....

My 36th Post: 14th August 1947

65 years back, on 14th August 1947, an infant stepped into this world....it was separated from its mother by the people saying that the mother wouldn't survive longer if she kept it in.....since then it parted its ways from the mother and never turned back.....that child grew up, providing shelter to many and giving them a reason to live....today that child turns 65, today Pakistan gets a year older....
Pakistan, a nation separated from Hindustan after the sacrifices of many great leaders and followers....it was always seen as a nation of pride and honor by its creator, Muhammad Ali Jinnah, who died the night Pakistan was crowned its name.....the infant separated from its mother and then in the same night, lost its soul bearer.....people saw a hope for it to survive easily but the spell caster left the people dreaming....it again needed a leader for its nourishment but till this day, none have proven to be in Jinnah's seat....
I have read many histories defining the birth of this nation....each and every nation talks differently....all stand in the favour of their nation's hero and tell about other's mischeieves.....but  well that was history and no matter what it was, it is not possible to live in it again....all that matters is that things have changed and the future needs a proper base in order to stand firm....
Though I am a citizen of this country, I would still accept the truth that it is not what it was supposed to be.....there is nothing really worth living for here....I mean alright it has our roots and everything and still there are historic places and some good qualities but they aren't enough to keep on living....for a person to live a successful life, the basic need is of honesty and a hardworking environment and these things are really tough to locate these days....rarely someone is honest in their work or their relations.....nothing goes on properly....everything is a mess....there is a limit to corruption but here, even the sky ain't the limit....people are getting rich day by day but how, that is the main question....how come a normal man who is not even capable to earn for himself, holds enough balance to buy a car worth some lacs and live in a lavishly furnished house in one of the top most societies of his area? is that even possible without having any business background or bagging some lottery? well my brain says no cause I have seen people working hard....they earn but mostly they earn respect and their bank accounts and all are just averagely filled.....
The jump in corruption in the recent decade, have led a rise to theft, kidnappings and crimes beyond the ideology of man.....prices have rose, people are starving....when people turn into animals, they start doing what is wrong in order to fill the stomach of the one's they love....they don't care about killing a person just for few thousands....
This wasn't how Quaid saw Pakistan to be...this wasn't what he fought for....there is nothing which would have pleased him if he were here....this isn't the Pakistan we deserve....we deserve a better nation, a better living....this isn't how things should turn.....we surely got a win over many who went against us but even 65 years later, I can't proudly say that we are independent....this isn't independence if we are still controlled by the same rulers just under a different name....
Its sad to see something rust like this specially when that something is yours to cherish.....I hope and pray to Allah that we stand back on our feet with the aim of a new and a better nation for us and our later generations...a day would surely come when this nation's flay would rise in every country in respect....a day when each and everyone in this world would speak good of this nation....a day when each Pakistani would be proud of his nationality....That day I would proudly say that we are independent....

My 25th Post: Blackout

Opened up my computer, just started off writing a post..hmm na lets see the mails and notifications on facebook first....o o o, I got a reply from her....me clicking upon it and dam, the light is gone.....that is one of the most frustrating moments ever....I mean come on that ain't fair....we pay the electricity bill and all the taxes fairly and still we are rewarded with this....why can't the government generate more power instead of load-shedding....
The blackouts are seriously getting upon my nerves.....its getting tough to get the things done....now we ain't in some stone age where light only existed as flames...we need electricity, that is the basic need....imagine instead of all these words here I just post a black picture....not being racist at all just meant to say a pic in which you won't see anything....that is how it feels during a blackout....at times it gets too dark....like yesterday at night turned on my pc and went downstairs for a stroll....sat on a chair to hit back and laze for a while but thanks to WAPDA (water and power development authority), the lights went off and it was seriously black....could see nothing around me not even my hands, even if there was a piece of diamond in my hands, it wouldn't have shined.....
Now is that fair? here in Pakistan, these problems are increasing day by day....the worst part is that due to some off the track nationalists, all suffer....there is no power to supply cause there is a misuse of light in our country and the ones who are on white track, are the ones who have to suffer with lame and questionable accuses....at times, the bills aren't properly set out and different stories are told to make them the right ones....well that is another tale....but I wanna say is that why can't our government control these facts? It is easy and simple...just be loyal to the country...do for the nation first or at least perform the job you are given with loyalty....that is it, just don't cheat, please....
Well these blackouts won't end and that doesn't means that we stop our jobs...no matter how much the power draws off, I would be back here when it returns to write upon my blog....WAPDA, you can't stop me....well just saying don't take it upon your heart, seriously....

My 22nd Post: Night Tournaments

I love sports and my game is football...that is my love....when ever and where ever I get a chance to play, I rarely miss it....its intoxicating for me....I just can't take my mind off it....even at times just to relax, I start juggling the ball, no worries if the clock strikes 2 for the night....The time I reach the field, I just want to conquer it all....the feeling to be on it is indescribable...that ain't only for me....the same would be in the heart of any true player of any sport....
Setting up matches and playing as a team is a lot of fun...mostly the matches are during the day lights under the stroke of the sun....the heat becomes harsh but the players bare it for the love of the game....the reason for evening matches is that the days are busy....everyone has to wake up early in order to attain their jobs or schools....so having no option in hand, they accept the torment of sun....
This month,Ramadan, in Pakistan, the players rarely sleep....the days are calm cause it is tough to suffer the load of the game in a fast....and the game must go on so at night, the streets are closed....the street lights brighten every single path that follows....as the traffic soothes down, players rule the streets which were once the territory of the cars....every single street here is covered by people...some are just the audience and others are among the rising stars of tomorrow.....
The night tournaments officially begin...one ends and the other starts....the streets go wild and it is just like some crowded stadium where people arrive from parts of the world....though it isn't on such a high level, but still the excitement and the enthusiasm is of the hook....on a same street, there would be a match of football going on and the other side you would see cricketers gathering in.....the sight is mesmerizing.....every player feels like a star while viewing the audience...it is just like a dream come true for a while...
I guess this all is cause of the sight of the moon....something crazy happens when the moon rises....as wolves start howling; players start craving for the tournaments.....there is an extra boost in the game at night....the confidence level due to some reason rises and it feels compulsory to be out on the field....
As I said, it is impossible to describe....no matter how much I try, still the edge remains rough....
