My 86th Post: Elections 2013

After a long journey of, some say torments and destruction and others saying a wonderful half decade of prosperity, the time is back to take a stand and change our leaders for a change....am not criticising the government or willing to disrespect the devotees by saying that the current leader and his government brought nothing more than handful of corruption, pushed peace from the bridges of this country or is the vital reason for the rise in the current figures of the poverty graph...saying all this would be rude and is unacceptable so would keep it out of my post...but what I am going to say is that there is always a need of change or in other words, a desire for change....no matter how good things are, still there is space for making them better....
This year of 2013, elections are taking place in Pakistan....people are taking part enthusiastically, specially the youth of Pakistan is willing to step forward and change the minds from following a good for nothing, emotionally blackmailing leader to someone who might, just might make things better and help our country survive not only for our generation but for the upcoming generations.....this Friday was the last day to campaign for any political party and tomorrow the votes would be cast....at this time tomorrow, we might be able to predict our future for the upcoming years....it might be good enough to drive a sixer off the field or maybe would get shot down by a hunter's arrow or even that hunter might be killed by it's own prey.....anything can happen, we can only pray....but the assurance is that the minds are changing and people are starting to realise the truth and throw down the veils off their eyes.....so what if this year nothing changes for good, though Allah forbids that, but still there is a change rising and if the country isn't changed, this year gives hope that it would certainly change in the upcoming years.....
Everyone has a right to select and vote for who ever they want but it's kind of an appeal to all of them to judge before casting a vote....a vote is a huge responsibility bestowed upon our shoulders and this shouldn't be played with.....a vote shouldn't be casted because one wanted it instead it should be on the basis of sensibility....ofcourse if you are a member of a particular party suppose 'abc', you would support it no matter how wrong it is but should you? that is a question out of prefix here....the thing is, is it good to be selfish just just for your own sake? there is a country which suffers when a vote is casted to the wrong side.....sure, a particular group of people may cash in from that but let me tell them that by doing that, they are making things worst....one year they worked lets say to level 1 to complete their illegal task, the next year they would have to climb up to level 2 to complete that same old task....it is better to develop the country once and to eat the fruits from then on.....but still it is their choice, what can one do if the opportunist wants to suicide even when there is an opening towards happiness....
Since the last elections, I have heard people whining and cursing the government....to be honest, though these are my views only, the government isn't soul responsible....who said to cast votes in a manner that you would regret....out of context, if you give a pistol to a hooligan, what would you expect, him/her protecting you with it or pointing it towards you to take advantage? there are a lot of chances that the pistol would still be in his/her hand and you might be on the floor bleeding and pleading for mercy....miracles don't happen much but wait, they do happen as right now we are having another season of elections with some outstanding candidates amongst whom one is even quoted as the next Jinnah of Pakistan....so it is a miracle and for it to happen, we need to show that we earned it and it is simple just to cast vote and look forward to the new Jinnah or maybe better....
Yes, there are illiterates in this country who are just blown away by emotions and sentiments clenched by the speeches of the political rallies and may vote as an opposing party to the development of this country but to be honest, what are the literates even doing? still there are a lot who are blinded and disregard the fact that this country is alive only by a string which might break real soon if not sewn real soon....and to sew this country, leaders aren't to be chosen by emotions, they are to be chosen by their virtues and their actions in the past which depict their actions in the future....but still what can one say if they really can't see the dream seen by the one who they love and WE love and was martyred for the future of Pakistan in the cold winds of 2007....
May her soul get a place in heaven and may Pakistan prosper and the future of it brightens with the results of this election.....
