My 60th Post: What a Match!!

Seriously Pakistan, I was hoping for a better match....I mean come on sure India is a good team but such a defeat wasn't expected at all...I really waited for yesterday's match between India and Pakistan in this T20 World Cup and was expecting some more miracles by Pakistan but I can say that this match was no good as a Pakistani fan....after watching the Australia's match earlier that day, my excitement level was way too high....Shane Watson really did a great job and I was waiting for a century by him but unfortunately, he couldn't make it...any how, regarding the match I had my eyes on; it was so much exciting that I wasn't even able to keep my eyes opened....I dozed off half way between the first innings....
To be honest with my readers, I did predict that Pakistan was going to lose but still had my hopes up high....after my nap of 4 hours, I went downstairs and the question regarding the match came as 'Pakistan lost right?'...

Well it was a single match....the odd thing is that whenever Pakistan and India come to the field together, it feels like a duty to be there for the team and watch the entire match....it gets really on the nerve when these  two face off....like a rivalry just fires off...I mean, I do have friends living in India but when it comes to cricket then there is only one color in mind, Green....the Indian team is no doubt a strong team and I like some of the players from that but still, no cheering while the match....but well I liked the idea when both the teams were merged up and played side by side in the IPL....that was really fantastic....
Well about yesterday's match, I don't have any more comments upon that...just can say, India really got upon Pakistan well and Insha-Allah Pakistan would show a better performance in the mere future and get into the semifinals...there is a chance for Pakistan I guess...
And to Diablos (my football team), you had to cancel our match cause you wanted to see that match? come on...that is really disappointing because now we would have to wait for a week till the next match....

My 57th Post: Pakistan's Turning Victory Against South Africa

I am not a cricket fan and I really don't think I would ever be one but today's match got me into it from the start till the very end...Pakistan started off terrifically and it looked as a definite victory...I really thought that South Africa was only going to give a nominal target of somewhere between 80s and 90s but they took over some pace and started hitting some finely calculated shots....but still in my believe, a target of 134 wasn't such big specially for a team having a high caliber....so for me the match seemed over before 15th over but the tables always have to turn....
Umar Gul after one of his Boundaries
The second innings started and Pakistan stood on the pitch to bat....that was the moment when I lost my interest in cricket again.....such a terrible start....what were they even thinking.....134 runs in 20 overs against South Africa may seem tough to a guy like me but for Pakistan's cricket team, I thought it would be a piece of ice cake but they have to make everything tough....20 overs means 120 balls all together...so if Pakistan made a run upon each and ever ball, they would have been only 14 runs short....for that, only in 14 overs they could have aimed for 7 runs each and rest one run one each delivery...I know the game ain't played like this because there are dot balls and all but still that is a better way than what Pakistan did....
Honestly, I feel it was a lucky win because Umar Gul isn't a batsman, he is a bowler...sure he can bat as well but he mainly is a bowler....leaving the game in his hands and expect him to hit sixes is just insane....today, he was on his top and really hats off to him that Pakistan won because he was the one whose sixes and fours brought Pakistan out of the danger zone....but what about the real batsman who are known for their batting...what did they do? the inning's start was like a parade...players came, swung the bat couple of times and left....they were leaving the ground with a duck....Shahid Afridi, one of the most talented, experienced and loved player did such a blunder and I was hoping that he would get the Pakistanis a cool nerve...you should get on the pitch, become familiarized with the pace and then aim for the boundaries but no, he came and was caught out because he just gave the ball in the hands of the fielder to catch as if he was giving some catching session to him....now what was that? this isn't some friendly match where you can joke around, try to be realistic...a player whom I hate (as a player that is) is Shoaib Malik....I really don't know what is the guy's problem....you are playing a test match and you get 60 runs out of 250 balls, it is acceptable but not a wise attempt in one day matches or 20-20 matches....this guy really loves the pitch and I guess his coach might have taught him that staying on the field is more important than scoring runs....I was really praying for him to get out so that some light may fall upon the team....
Well Umar Gul really did make his nation proud today with the assist from his partner Umar Akmal..it was sad to watch him leave the field and I thought the chance Pakistan had of winning are gone but Umar Akmal hit off a six and took a run on the next ball....in the end, the edge from the last batsman's first ball won the match with a splendid boundary....Umar Akmal was amazed to see Saeed Ajmal finishing off the game with such beauty...
So the moral of the story is that Pakistan won and now its time for India and Australia to face each other and for Pakistan's team, it can sit back and enjoy this exciting match.....

My 22nd Post: Night Tournaments

I love sports and my game is football...that is my love....when ever and where ever I get a chance to play, I rarely miss it....its intoxicating for me....I just can't take my mind off it....even at times just to relax, I start juggling the ball, no worries if the clock strikes 2 for the night....The time I reach the field, I just want to conquer it all....the feeling to be on it is indescribable...that ain't only for me....the same would be in the heart of any true player of any sport....
Setting up matches and playing as a team is a lot of fun...mostly the matches are during the day lights under the stroke of the sun....the heat becomes harsh but the players bare it for the love of the game....the reason for evening matches is that the days are busy....everyone has to wake up early in order to attain their jobs or schools....so having no option in hand, they accept the torment of sun....
This month,Ramadan, in Pakistan, the players rarely sleep....the days are calm cause it is tough to suffer the load of the game in a fast....and the game must go on so at night, the streets are closed....the street lights brighten every single path that follows....as the traffic soothes down, players rule the streets which were once the territory of the cars....every single street here is covered by people...some are just the audience and others are among the rising stars of tomorrow.....
The night tournaments officially begin...one ends and the other starts....the streets go wild and it is just like some crowded stadium where people arrive from parts of the world....though it isn't on such a high level, but still the excitement and the enthusiasm is of the hook....on a same street, there would be a match of football going on and the other side you would see cricketers gathering in.....the sight is mesmerizing.....every player feels like a star while viewing the audience...it is just like a dream come true for a while...
I guess this all is cause of the sight of the moon....something crazy happens when the moon rises....as wolves start howling; players start craving for the tournaments.....there is an extra boost in the game at night....the confidence level due to some reason rises and it feels compulsory to be out on the field....
As I said, it is impossible to describe....no matter how much I try, still the edge remains rough....

My 6th Post: Cricket & Life

Though am not a cricket fan, but a topic was suggested by my bud regarding the stat of cricket in our country and I really have no idea about that...so my brain worked and it made this up :) in other words this is kinda dedicated to my buddy Hammad :)
Cricket is one of the most played games in this world and the concept of this game is that there are two teams of I think 10 people...one has to bat and make runs and the other team fields and when the players get  bold, the order changes....well am not going to get into the details of the game cause I know, I would make gigantic blunders here :p
If we see this life, then it really resembles with the game....the team batting would be us people in our personal life...the team balling is life it self....the fielders set upon are the hindrances we meet throughout our game....at times we get clean balled but still we get a chance to try again until the match ends....the overs played are the years we put in this world to make a score....so it purely depends upon our efforts that decides whether the ball passes the fielder or not....
When we get clean balled, its really tough to get back to the pitch for instance like someone loses a limb in some accident or something or bangs his head while jumping from 50 meter building....the chances for him to touch the ground safely were near to nil...so it was a wasted attempt....but when we get caught out, it is like we took a foolish step or didn't put in the perfect efforts....all the cricket fans would be wondering what would resemble getting a run out....I believe that is when we take a risk and become hasty in achieving something...just to climb up quickly and to get something, we forget to take a precaution in life....there is always a LBW, that is simply when life tries to pull a joke upon us and gives us no chance at all to think better for our self...like the time when we didn't know about something and someone else takes the prestige of taking some important decision for us....
There is only one main difference in the life's cricket and the real cricket that is the game can be rigged when playing for fun but in life, there is no one to accept bribe and take the torment for us....if that was also possible then I assure you, I would have been cricket's number one fan :)
Well we can have fun in both, just depends on how much sportsmanship we have carved in our soul....if it is over the limits then life and cricket both are beautiful....
