aww...honestly when the time for iftar comes, that's the expression by any Muslim who waited nearly whole day to get something down his/her throat....For anyone who is still unaware of the thing am talking about, let me just give them an intro.....
Among all of the months, there is a month in the Lunar calender named "Ramadan"....its a sacred month in which Muslims from any nation fast from dawn to the time the sky deepens in its blue colour....well it is compulsory to keep oneself clean both in thoughts and manners through out the year but in this month specially during the fast, it is obligatory for the faster to follow some rules.....these consist of doing good deeds, maintaining a distance from anything which Allah dislikes and most importantly, keeping the stomach away from both food and water.....
Fast starts with sehri and ends with iftar....iftar is the time when Muslims sit down in peace and wait for the azaan(call of prayers) of Maghrib....that is the time when we are allowed to open our fast and eat what we desire, keeping in mind that, that should be halal....
Some of the readers who are Muslims would disagree with the expression I used as they would say that they would go on with their fast and don't mind if iftari time was near or far....I disagree with all due respect....yes, we fast cause its an order by our Lord but if we don't feel the impact of a fast then it is just like a daily routine movement.....
When the time of iftar comes, in my view and experience that is the time when I really want to dig in....just imagine a table covered with delicious, mouth watering food items....still more to come but no space to keep them....you see the world of delight flashing before your eyes....specially in summers when you are fasting, it is really tough cause there is a desire for water every 5 minutes and at the time of iftar, there are jugs filled with beverages, perfectly chilled just waiting for you to pour in your glass....I mean its just like someone who went to cola shop after spending a week in desert.....trust me the picture in my eyes is really a dream come true.....
But at that very moment another thought hits my eye....I am going to munch down everything which is in front of me just in few minutes but what about the people who can't? there are people on streets who can't even afford a proper one time meal, who can't fill their stomach but still are trying to live....I am blessed with the riches masha-Allah which is why I can eat, but did I earn them? certainly I did cause Allah gave them to me...then the question arrives what can I give in return....what can someone give to someone who owns everything? there is nothing except being grateful and that is on of the biggest things to do....being grateful really helps in keeping the mind clean and pure....what if I was among the poor? but I am not so in return I can say thank you to Allah and try to help His other creation which ain't that lucky like me....
well that is little something upon iftar and all and now I am going to show you what iftar is....check out the picture and do like and comment....Tc
